♟️CHESS IS BECOMING THE NEW LANGUAGE OF EDUCATION
9 September FIDE announced details of the international summit Chess in Education 2026. It will take place on September 24 in Samarkand, alongside the 46th World Chess Olympiad and Congress FIDE.
Teachers, researchers, and representatives of educational organizations from different countries will come to Uzbekistan. They will discuss an unusual topic: how to transform chess from simply a game and sport into a tool for school and university education. The program includes national educational projects, new university partnerships, and the use of chess to work with children and communities affected by conflicts.
An interesting detail of modern cultural diplomacy: people do not even have to speak the same language to begin interacting across a chessboard. For the international summit itself, the organizers have arranged voice interpretation into 64 languages.
