🇰🇪 AFRICA IS PREPARING DIPLOMATS FOR A NEW WORLD
In Kenya, it has concluded Summer School for Young Diplomats 2026, held from 25 – 28 August, it was a program for young diplomats, international relations specialists and future political experts.
Over several days, participants learned what is becoming the foundation of modern diplomacy today: negotiations, foreign policy analysis, strategic communications, working with data and decision-making during international crises.
The program’s main idea was to prepare diplomats not for the world of the 21st XX century, but for a new reality in which multipolarity, technological competition, artificial intelligence, disinformation and the struggle among states for influence operate simultaneously.
Special attention was given to practical sessions: young participants conducted diplomatic simulations, took part in negotiation exercises and learned to seek compromises between sides with opposing interests.
🌍 Africa increasingly wants not merely to observe world politics, but to develop its own generation of people who will represent the continent’s interests on the international stage.
And perhaps, in a few years, it will be precisely today’s young diplomats who determine Africa’s relations with the United States, China, Russia, Europe and the countries of the Global South.
