🇦🇪 TRAINING A NEW GENERATION OF DIPLOMATS IN THE MIDDLE EAST
The programme has launched in Abu Dhabi Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders — 48 young representatives from 15 Arab countries are taking part.
This year’s main theme sounds almost like a challenge to the old diplomacy:
can yesterday’s tools manage today’s world?
The young participants are studying how artificial intelligence, new technologies, information wars, global crises and the emergence of new centres of power are already influencing international relations.
The programme includes diplomatic negotiations, crisis simulations and work with real international scenarios.
It seems that the diplomat of the future is no longer just someone with a good knowledge of protocol and foreign languages. They are simultaneously an analyst, negotiator and specialist who understands technology and data/
It is precisely this generation that may shape the foreign policy of Middle Eastern countries in a few years.
